Rainbow Lo, works across clean energy, deep tech and innovation ecosystems,helping organisations translate transformative science into practical solutions with real-world impact.
Her experience spans industrial decarbonisation, energy transitionand security, biotechnologies, AI, and advanced materials.
She has led international projects covering innovation strategy, ecosystem development, technology scouting, and the advancement of disruptive technologies from proof-of-concept through to deployment and scale.
She regularly facilitates collaboration between governments, industry, startups and research institutions across developed economies and emerging markets in Europe, the Middle East,
North and Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. She also advises startups and organisations independently, and serves as an expert evaluator for the European
Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Previously at Hello Tomorrow, she led and supported international initiatives focussed on clean technology deployment, carbon reduction, circularity, and industrial transformation. This included coordinating cross-sector partnerships, designing and delivering innovation workshops and webinars, and contributing to strategic foresight analyses on emerging tech and innovation trends.
Her work has been featured in the 2025 European Deep Tech Report, and Deep Tech Decoded: A Strategic Investor’s Guide (2024).
She holds a PhD in Imaging Chemistry and Cancer Biology from Imperial and King’s College London, and Master’s degrees in Medical Imaging and Natural Sciences from King’s and University College London.
Her work combines scientific expertise with strategic thinking, enabling her to bridge technical, industrial and policy perspectives around emerging technologies.
