Giulia Giussani is Digital Innovation Manager at IDSA, a not-for-profit association leading the co-creation an international, technology-agnostic standard for cross-domain data sharing based on the federated and sovereign approach called “data spaces”. IDSA positions itself as a leading global initiative to enable data spaces thanks to the creation of common frameworks and trust mechanisms. Giulia started dealing with the topic of data sharing ecosystems when finishing her studies in entrepreneurship and innovation at the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen, where she wrote her Master thesis on the benefits of such initiatives, in joint research with CEFRIEL, a technology and innovation center in Milan expert in API-based digital ecosystems. Thanks to this experience, she became passionate about the topic and decided to move to Germany in 2020 to join the IDSA team, to support shaping this new era of the data economy. At IDSA, Giulia is mainly active in consulting on the IDS standard and its business applications, and in disseminating the data spaces approach in various international contexts. In addition to this, she is also involved in some strategic activities related to the governance of the association and to the long-term engagement of the IDSA stakeholders.
